Artist Profile: Eli | IDSS Art Exhibition Bundaberg 2025

Original Style: Eli’s World of Characters and Colour

Eli’s art journey began in school, where experimenting with different styles sparked a strong interest in drawing and design. Over time, that curiosity grew into a love of creating original characters, influenced by Manga and pop culture.

Framed drawings on easels displayed against a dark brick wall. Art includes characters and abstract scenes. Vibrant and dynamic compositions.
"I enjoy creating my own style and characters with an influence of Manga Art."

Art isn’t just a passion for Eli, it’s a powerful tool for focus, creativity and stability.

"Art helps me switch off from life’s stresses and helps keep me mentally stable."

Inspired by Music and Animation

Eli finds inspiration in music, which fuels creativity and sets the tone for drawing. She's also inspired by characters that come from her favourite shows like Sonic the Hedgehog, Rick and Morty and How to Train Your Dragon.

Favourite Medium: Pencil and Marker

When it comes to creating, Eli prefers pencil and marker for their simplicity and precision.

"They’re not messy like paint and allow me to create finer detail."

This hands-on, clean style supports the level of intricacy Eli aims for in every piece, making it possible to work patiently and bring each character to life.

Eli’s Favourite Piece: Sonic Boom

Two cartoon hedgehogs with red accents and a scarf stand amid green vines and colorful flowers. Text: "by Eli/stitchy2569", "Sonic Boom".
"This piece was a challenge and took quite some time to create."

Sonic Boom is an example of Eli’s dedication and attention to detail. It's bold, vibrant and full of energy, just like the characters that inspire it.
