Ellen’s Art Group Story
Ellen joined the Art Group looking for a social outlet. She found just what she needed.
“Tuesday Art is social, creative and a relaxing environment.”
Already creative, Ellen saw the group as a chance to explore new styles and push herself a little further. The supportive environment gave her a fresh outlook and opportunities to try things she might not have tackled on her own.
“This group gives me a new outlook and opportunities to challenge myself to try new things.”

Art as a Quiet Escape
After the loss of two of her cats, Ellen turned to art as a way to process her grief. Creating helped her shift her focus and brought a sense of calm when she needed it most.
“Art has allowed me to escape from feeling depressed after 2 of my cats passed away. It allowed me to forget about my grief and focus on being creative.”
She continues to draw inspiration from the calm environment of the art space, where she feels free to create at her own pace.

Ellen's Medium & Favourite Piece
Ellen’s favourite tools are acrylic pen brushes, which let her add finer detail and more control to her work.
Her favourite piece is Three Tree Frogs, which brings together her love of colour, design and frogs with personality.
“I love frogs and this painting depicts each of them with different personalities. I love the colours and design of this piece.”
