Painting Stories From Her Garden: Meet Suzie
For Suzie, Tuesday Art started as a social outing. But it soon turned into so much more.
Being a part of the IDSS Tuesday Art Group in Bundaberg has given Suzie the chance to create again, challenge herself, and enjoy spending time with the people around her each week.

“I started coming to Tuesday Art as a social outlet but it soon turned into much more — it gives me the opportunity to create, challenge myself and enjoy the people around me.”
Suzie had an early love for visual arts but, like many people, her passion faded over the years. Now, surrounded by supportive faces and a peaceful environment, she’s found her creative spark again.
Most of Suzie's inspiration comes from nature. She loves both growing AND painting flowers. Each piece she creates tells a small story, often inspired by what's blooming in her own garden.
"Art is 'me' time – I can be me and express who I am with support and no judgement. To anyone thinking about starting their creative journey, I say just give it a go. Every piece doesn’t have to be perfect, but you just might surprise yourself."
Suzie's Favourite Piece: Pansies

Suzie's favourite piece for this year's exhibition is Pansies. It's a reflection of her love for flowers, colour, and the simple beauty she finds in her garden.
“I love the colours and simplicity of the piece, and the story behind this piece, something I love to grow and how I challenged myself along the way."
Through Tuesday Art, Suzie has found the space to be herself, and the freedom to just keep growing... just like her flowers.

The regular fonts from TypeType are perfect for longer texts or clean, structured layouts. They look neat, professional, and are very readable. I often use regular font in blogs and print materials because they are timeless and elegant. For projects where readability is key, these fonts are ideal.
