We're incredibly lucky to be able to make the difference in so many lives.
Many people dream of a career where they get to make an impact in the world and that's exactly what the disability industry is all about.
It's such a rewarding profession, one where you get to go home at the end of the day knowing you've done your part.
But the flip side to it that not many people speak about, is the mental, emotional and sometimes even physical toll it takes on people.
Day in day out, disability workers are doing their best to give their ALL to others.
As rewarding as it can be, it can also be exhausting and extremely confronting in some circumstances.
Being someone else's support system can sometimes mean falling behind on supporting yourself.
So today we encourage you to reach out to your friends and family in the disability industry. Ask them - R U OK?
You may give them that chance to talk that they really needed, you may even make their day.
